-Joachim, you usually are way ahead of me! I guess I'll have to actually read the documentation for [[TWiki/FindElsewherePlugin]] and here's why: I moved [[Hurd/PortToL4]] to the Trash since it was a simple placeholder for the current [[Mach/PortToL4]]. Then I tried to go to the Hurd web's page and got the same old not found. I thought the purpose of the new plugin was to **_find where it moved,_** isn't it? Like I said, I'll RTFM.

I'm not clear on what you are proposing about about another TWiki. If we need to change the WIKITOOLNAME again, that's OK, but I wasn't expecting there to be more wikis under gnufans.org. I like that it gives the one big different part of the domain name for the main site when compared with <http://hurd.gnu.org>. Since the WIKITOOLNAME is on every page that is really a good thing, reminding users where they are so they can type in the domain name directly the next time they think about our site. We also dont' want a real WikiName for the WIKITOOLNAME. Lesse, what to choose. Maybe "Hurdfans" ? But then I feel this dilutes our efforts to separate the Hurd, Mach and Distrib webs. :-(

**_About refactoring,_** I'm not sure what you mean by "not wanting to remove our previous conversation"? Do you mean the links on top, "Old discussions", that I put up some time ago or what? I know I'm usually too lazy to delete old stale discussions or even refactor my own comments - but hey, I'm only human. ;)

+OK, I got it. I posted to TWiki:Plugins/FindElsewherePluginDev just now. Can you modify the oops page templates (oohh, there are alot of them! **_31 of them!_** maybe oopstopicexists.tmpl or oopsmissing.tmpl?) in twiki-safe/templates/ so that [[FindeElsewherePlugin]] can act on an embedded $topic variable? I think you will understand what I mean. I'll describe it just in case: "When I try [[Hurd/PortToL4]] I want to be able to get to [[Mach/PortToL4]] quickly from the 404/oops page. Since [[FindElsewherePlugin]] is installed all that's needed (I think) is to add a $topic to the beginning to allow the plugin to work it's magic. I dont' know what would be best if there are multiple topics in multiple webs."

+So many discussion threads, only one topic. Yes, Joachim, we are all human, and that's what I was commenting on. It was on the conflict between the fundamental topic design of any wiki (specifically for you and I here in this topic) and the human condition of wanting to say lots of things about different topics. Perhaps I have a higher scatter thought pattern than most, but I think you understand what I'm saying. ;-) Maybe we should try to catch up on IRC which seems a very much higher bandwidth communication tool than any wiki can be!
+
+P.S. Have you recently changed the default for Release edit lock to be checked? I might have just noticed it for the first time, I'm intrigued by the locking features of TWiki at the moment.
