From cba631268225691a2c1d28511842fdb6db88a5f9 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Roland McGrath Date: Mon, 20 Aug 2001 22:46:26 +0000 Subject: 2001-08-20 Roland McGrath * init.c (kernel_command_line): Variable removed. (options, parse_opt): Remove -K option. (frob_kernel_process): Collect arguments from &global_argv[1] instead of slicing up kernel_command_line. (start_child): Take a second arg, if non-null more arguments for PROG. (launch_something): Change caller. On first try, pass &global_argv[1]. --- init/init.c | 59 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++---------------------------- 1 file changed, 31 insertions(+), 28 deletions(-) diff --git a/init/init.c b/init/init.c index 84e788cb..4a6e0b90 100644 --- a/init/init.c +++ b/init/init.c @@ -62,10 +62,6 @@ int crash_flags = RB_AUTOBOOT; #define _PATH_RUNCOM "/libexec/rc" - -/* Multiboot command line used to start the kernel, - a single string of space-separated words. */ -char *kernel_command_line; const char *argp_program_version = STANDARD_HURD_VERSION (init); @@ -78,8 +74,6 @@ options[] = {"crash-debug", 'H', 0, 0, "On system crash, go to kernel debugger"}, {"debug", 'd', 0, 0 }, {"fake-boot", 'f', 0, 0, "This hurd hasn't been booted on the raw machine"}, - {"kernel-command-line", - 'K', "COMMAND-LINE", 0, "Multiboot command line string"}, {0, 'x', 0, OPTION_HIDDEN}, {0} }; @@ -524,12 +518,6 @@ parse_opt (int key, char *arg, struct argp_state *state) case 'H': crash_flags = RB_DEBUGGER; break; case 'x': /* NOP */ break; default: return ARGP_ERR_UNKNOWN; - - case 'K': - kernel_command_line = arg; - /* XXX When this is really in use, - this should do some magical parsing for options. */ - break; } return 0; } @@ -998,17 +986,11 @@ frob_kernel_process (void) } } - if (!kernel_command_line) - kernel_command_line = getenv ("MULTIBOOT_CMDLINE") ?: "(kernel)"; - + /* Our arguments make up the multiboot command line used to boot the + kernel.
