Recently Recently [[hurd/translator/lwip]], which is an userspace tcp/ip library, was ported to the Hurd, which can serve as a direct replacement for pfinet. To configure Internet connectivity, the `pfinet` (*Protocol Family Internet*) [[translator]] must be configured.
